Tripadvisor had La Terrasse as the highest ranked restaurant in Puerto Princesa, so we had to see what it is all about. After a morning city tour, we asked the tour van to drop us off at La Terrasse rather than the hotel for lunch. This was about 11:30am on a saturday, we were the only people there. Most of the restaurants in Puerto Princessa that people recommend can be classified as restobars so it was nice to walk into a real restaurant space.
After sitting down and taking our order the waitress brought us some complimentary bread sticks with a pesto dipping sauce.

Our appetizer course was smoked duck pate with blini (little russian pancakes). I was really happy with this dish, pretty large serving of pate'. The smoked duck kind of smelled like a Slim Jim, but the flavor was fabulous.
Main #1 - Papatim over rice w/ mushroom and baby corn pork demi. This papatim was moist, flavorful, and super tender. Great dish. But the gravy/demi that came on the side (not pictured) was like crack.. highly addictive except it makes you fat instead of skinny.

Main #2 - Baked squid stuffed with spinach and feta. Perfectly cooked squid, not rubbery. We should have ordered 2 of these.
I must say, tripadvisor reviews were spot on about this place. I don't know if it is the best restaurant in Puerto Princesa, but it was definitely my favorite.
